Guest guest
Can ya believe it? I prolly met him when he was in his early 70's and he's still going strong today. This, his birthday, was all over the web, including People Magazine's own website. His actual birthday was on the second, two days ago. Happy B-day Minehardt! Reading about Minehardt's event also lead me to these other Munchkin related news: A nice vid on Karl Slover, his life in retirement and his star received as being part of all of the Munchkins on Hollywood's Walk of Fame recently; a remake of the Wizard of Oz that is suppose to be dark and twisted and not feature singing Munchkins but apparently evil ones who tie up and torture Dorothy, I kid you not; and lastly, Norbert Terhurne, who is 'allegedly' the youngest Munchkin on the set of the Wizard of Oz in 1939. I didn't include the People Magazine link on Minehardt's birthday as it was just a sentence only, along with other stars celebrating their birthday during the same week, saying that it was his 92nd b-day, nothing more and without any pics. Karl Slover article with vid: http://tinyurl.com/26xrnk New Wizard of OZ movie, 2 links, both different. I had more, including a movie trailer, but it was too over the top for our group I felt, so if you wanna find them you'll have to do that on yer own: http://tinyurl.com/yw4qa5 and http://tinyurl.com/25yuzm Lastly, this is one 'relic' from our country's past, the side show and not the act of clowning, I wish would die, but apparently it's still alive and doing well at the Minnesota State Fair. One person featured there, or on display I should say, is Norbert Terhurne or 'Poohbar' as he is nicknamed and he is aka as 'Little Pete'. Supposedly, he is the youngest Munchkin in the Wizard of OZ, but the funny thing is when you read of any list of the last nine suriving Munchkins left, as I have numerous times, his name is never mentioned. So, either he was excluded or 'distanced', so to speak, by the others still alive, or he never really was one even tho he personally claims he was one.
