Guest guest
Girl, eat some raw garlic! I know it makes you stink, but raw garlic will lick a cold and any other virus in no time. You've heard me talk about it before, and me and my family all eat raw garlic if we feel anything coming on. You get to a point where you crave it. Even my kids ask for raw garlic now. We eat it with chunks of bread and lately I've added organic feta cheese made with goats milk. (Found this at Trader Joe's) This was after I read an article in Natural Health magazine where it was noted that Southern Europeans eat raw garlic with bread and cheese. Try it! Garlic is effective against all kinds of viruses and bacteria. And remember I posted the article in the files section called "Reducing your Viral Load,Naturally" Check that out again. Hope you feel better quick! Well send out some healing thought to me right now, I am ticked I was feeling great but at work yesterday I started feeling the scratchiness and everyone has been sick there, plus I am not used to the strains here, in CA I swear I never got sick, but in hospitals it takes a year or two before you get immune to all the different bugs in the area, I remember my first year on the ICU at Stanford, man I was ill like 4 times, (No implants then_ just flues and colds it sucked. Oh well waa haaa I am supposed to go to a hockey game in Wy tomorrow and stay overnight in a hotel there with a hot tub and all....fun fun fun I have to be better...send me ideas ok! Guest guest
I've had extremely good luck at warding off colds/sore throats if I pop about five echincea (sp?) capsules as soon as I feel something coming on . . . doesn't seem to help much if I wait . . . zinc helps after catching something. . . that's why they started putting zinc in Coldease cough drops. Antibiotics don't help unless you have an infection. Rogene __________________________________________________

Guest guest
ROFL--girl you are cracking me up! I guess your body gets used to it over time. Maybe that is what Dr. Weil meant when he said if you have a good attitude about it you won't smell...never could figure that one out. My husband doesn't complain about it anymore. I guess it doesn't bother him because he eats it raw too. We don't eat it every day, but we will go on a binge and eat it for a day or two. He can't because of work--he is in public all the time. But I do get to stay home and I just time it so that I don't stink when I am going out. Actually, over time my husband found that he began to crave the garlic. It was like his body needed it, so he got the cravings. We like it with bread and cheese. I also eat it clove by clove with some chicken or turkey leftovers. I think the garlic isn't just on your breath, but it is like coming out your pores in your skin too. I read where in one experiment the garlic was rubbed on someone's foot and in a few minutes it could be smelled on the breath. Yup, it is potent. Sorry you had such a bad time with it! Apologies to your husband, OK, from me? (Still chuckling...) My husband doesn't complain about it anymore. (Still chuckling...) LOL, Love ya ----- Original Message ----- From: Patty Sent: Friday, December 07, 2001 12:52 PM Subject: Re: Strep throat Girl, eat some raw garlic! I have a bottle of about 8 ciprofloxacin pills but I don't want to take any antibiotics right now till I am sure what I have, I also do not want to run to the Dr right now, blah just want to sleep. Wish I had some thing to help me sleep besides the herb tea, hee hee. Guest guest
LOTS OF VITAMIN CCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCC. Pam ----------------- Hi all, One of my workmates had to go to the doctor yesterday, bosses orders. He has strep throat. The rest of us feel fine, but I was wondering what I could do to help make sure I don't get it as well. I have upped my tonic, and started taking echinacia tea 2-3 times a day, to keep my immune system strong. I'll be getting some fresh organic garlic today, in preparation to taking it orally if necessary. Any other suggestions? _________________________________________________________________ Express yourself instantly with MSN Messenger!
