Guest guest Posted April 14, 2003 Report Share Posted April 14, 2003 I did not see this court show regarding the lp woman who was abused but after reading people's concerns of self defense for dwarves I thought I would put in my insite. I am a 19 year old dwarf and have been practicing karate since I was four years old. I have been competing in karate tournaments my entire life, and to the surprise of many average size people, I have been very successful in my competitions. I have no doubt in my mind that a person with any type of dwarfism can successfully defend themselves from an attacker, either short or tall. The most important part of self defense is having the right mindset, staying calm, and most importantly trying to avoid confrontational and dangerous situations, but I know that this is not always possible.
