Guest guest
Dang, you are pretty spry for a drowned person. LOL. Just kidding. I have also wished for some sort of thing you can put into a bathtub so that I can lay down on my back without having to prop my head up uncomfortably on my elbows. I even thought of inventing such a thing, but alas, I don't have the funds, the know-how, or the materials to work with. Sabrena Bubble bath inquiry... Hi all, I know it's a strange topic. But as a 37 yr old experienced achon, I have yet to " Relax " in a bubblebath without drowning my self.
Guest guest
humm. i must say i love this e-mail b/c it's a new topic!! Have you tried not filling the tub up as high?? I know that's a stupid answer but still... VK Dea <cinnamon@...> wrote: Hi all, I know it's a strange topic. Yes, I can sit sideways in the tub, but that ain't laying in the tub enjoying the hotwater and bubbles. And I tried those pillows that you can suction cup at the end of the tub, but nothing stops me from sliding-so again, I drown myself. So, has anyone devised/came up with a thingy/device that they use to enjoy laying in a bathtub? I would love any suggestions that anyone may have (even funny ones). Guest guest
Finally, an engineering problem..... The trick that AHP's use to keep their heads above water when leaning in the bathtub is to brace their feet against the front of the tub. We drown because our feet don't reach the front of the tub. Those back cushions you mention need to be thick enough between your back and the back of the tub so that you are far enough forward to brace your feet against the front of the tub. Now, you know the solution. Come up with the materials to invent such a device. My contest is now open. Randy________ > > Dang, you are pretty spry for a drowned person. LOL. Just kidding. Guest guest
Hi, I'm not a LP but I have a suggestion for this. You can buy cheap air matresses that are meant to float in lakes or pools. Usually there are two air chambers you can inflate: One for the matress part, the part you actually lie on, the other for the pillow. Well, just don't inflate the mattress part, only inflte the pillow part. The weight of your body will hold it in place, while you in turn can relax back against the inflated airpillow and safely sleep, in effect makign the rub small enough to fit your body instead of the other way around. It works! I used to do this when I was a little girl, because I -loved- sleeping in the bath. , in Nova Scotia, Canada > > Dea <cinnamon@...> wrote: > Hi all, > > I know it's a strange topic. Guest guest
Go with either inventing a gel filled pad that inflates to conform to supporting you, without you going underwater, or invent a bathtub hammock. Think about it though, a hammock that you suspend over your existing tub, you can soak and not drown, and you're able to adjust it for those of different heights. Crap, maybe I shouldn't be sharing this information, lol. But if you have a metal bathtub, you can easily bore out holes in all of the four corners, and add eye bolts to those holes, leaving you with the perfect mounts for the hammock. And it doesn't have to be of canvas, no, it could be nylon, or cotton, with a silk or velvet pad, or a gel pad, add hot water, bubbles, lavender candles, rose pedals, Dove Bar Chocolate coated strawberries, strawberry champaign, Berry White, and a shower massager and good night Mrs. Claus, lol, ooh, ooh ooh sooo goood. Watch that stress just melt all away, leaving you a puddle of mush in that hammock. Anyway, that's my two cents worth for you Dea. Rob Bubble bath inquiry... Hi all, I know it's a strange topic. Guest guest
Anyway, that's my two cents worth for you Dea. Rob ===== A big folded bath towel will work ======provided you let it drip dry in tub when done.....inflated things will not stay under water. a wet bath towel is about 5' long and about 3' wide when folded into 4ths it works very well...... --------------------------------- New Messenger with Voice. Guest guest
There is a material of spongy type stuff at walmart that they sell that keeps stuff from sliding in your cabinets of your campers and stuff. I don't know they name, but you can use it on rugs too, to keep them from sliding. You can cut is with scissors. I use this in the tub. Even at a baby super store, they should have something too, but this stuff is cheap and would even line the whole bath tub. It has tiny holes in it. If I come up with the name, I'll get back to you. -:|:-*:*' " " *:*.-:|:-**LISA**-:|:-*:*'''''*:*-:|:-** Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the number of moments that take our breath away. ________________________________ From: dwarfism [mailto:dwarfism ] On Behalf Of Dea Sent: Thursday, March 23, 2006 6:56 PM dwarfism ; AdultLPs Subject: Bubble bath inquiry... Guest guest
OK...I can't resist this thread...my problem is that when I lean back against the tub my butt floats up and my feet aren't against the other end holding me down so down I go. I need to hold a brick in my lap I think! > Hi all, > > I know it's a strange topic. Guest guest
What about putting several plastic step stools into the tub, that way the tub would not be as long.
