Email me, okay...By the way when I started I had 230lbs. to lose (only 43 left to go)..quite a bit more than you are talking, but I have been struggling the past few weeks, if you push me, I will push you, okay! Guest guest
The mercury issue is relevant for very old fillings, where the components were hand-mixed by the dental personnel, which often resulted in the wrong proportions being used. The current level of mercury is extremely low and now comes premixed to prevent any toxic side effects. The links to some of the fluoride information was interesting to read. I am going to forward them to some of my staff to get additional input. It's been repeatedly proven that fluoride does prevent caries (cavities). This was discovered when a town in the Northeast was part of a longitudinal study because of the incredibly low rates of caries. They found that the town's water supply had fluoride, which is a naturally occurring mineral, as the identifiable variable. It's surprising that 40-50% of all water supplies in the US are NOT fluoridated. The major problem with fluoride is for children under the age of 5. Too much fluoride in young children has been shown to cause problems with bone development. That's why it's important that young children use age-appropriate toothpaste. Thanks for bringing these issues up for further discussion. That's one of the great things about this list, is that we can all have different opinions and have healthy discussions! But, I offer another point of view here on fluoride ... I'm not sure I want to trust the same authorities who also tell me there is nothing wrong with having mercury in fillings in my system for my whole life? If I were to die, and could come back as only one thing, I would come back as one of your tears. Because, what man would not want to be conceived in your heart, born in your eyes, live on your cheek and die on your lips.
