Guest guest
Dear , Well good luck...stay positive in thought. I can only imagine they have never removed all infection in the first place. I am soon due for my fourth op to replace bones and hopefully restore hearing. I have already had this once. My first op was a radical mastoidectomy...not fun at the time!! The best thing to do is keep getting it checked. Apparently they do regrow and that is why check ups for the rest of your life are necessary. For me it can be hard as I live in a remote part of Australia. Often the doctors have no idea what my condition is. I found if you just enter cholesteatoma on search it bring up a fair amount of reading. This is how I found this wonderful site! Support is great and to know you are not alone also helps. Take care, Audrey Looking for some Information Hi! I have had cholesteatoma for years. I have had four surgeries toremove it, the last one being a radical mastoidectomy. It's backagain. I haven't had the CT Scan yet, it's scheduled for the 30th ofthis month, with surgery scheduled for the 10th of next month. However, the doctor believes it might be coming from the balancecanals. I'm wondering if there is anyone who has had this happen andwhat was done to correct it?Any help would be appreciated!! Also, if anyone knows any goodwebsites where I can do research.Thanks!!-
Guest guest
Ciao from Italy! poor thing, I cannot believe you went through so many surgeries. My child, age 4, was just diagnosed with c-toma and we saw 3 doctors, of which one had a more complete approach and he said it came from the fact that he has a twisted nasal sept and that causes nasal dripping into the back ear. He told me to blow his nose as often as possible. This is all I know so far, he mentioned also a crooked palate. good luck! bene from Florence

Guest guest
Hi, -- The link is not gone. I simply moved it from the home page to the Library to make room for newer stuff. You can find it in the Library, but the direct link is: <http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/politics/3264735.stm> ===== Dan Kennedy Editor, LPA Online Little People of America, Inc. <http://www.lpaonline.org> On 2/24/04 5:22 PM, " Beale " <martinbeale70@...> wrote: > a while back, the lpa website had a link to a story about a hundred or so > dwarves in england who marched on parliament to protest poor representation of > people of short stature in the media.
