Guest guest
I noticed when watching the TLC special on the Roloff's that on the kid's shirts and in the minivan that there are several symbols that tell that they believe in God. I was wondering if anyone knows what denomination they are? ERIC
Guest guest
Shouldn't that be THEIR business what denomination they are? I don't think it should be up for discussion on a public forum.. Just my opinion, Amy Roloff's religion....... >I noticed when watching the TLC special on the > Roloff's that on the kid's shirts and in the minivan > that there are several symbols that tell that they > believe in God. Guest guest
Well, if they are advertising it, I'm certain they aren't ashamed to talk about it publicly. In fact they probably would welcome the discussion and the opportunity to speak on behalf of their beliefs. I know i would. I actually thought it was nice to see some kids that weren't afraid to wear t shirts that displayed their beliefs. Better than a lot of other things kids are wearing these days. Guest guest
I happily wear shirts that show I believe in Jesus, too, but that doesn't mean I'm wanting people to discuss what denomination I am, or ask me. It's no one's business. I should be able to say I'm a Christian without having to further define things.. If THEY don't mind talking about it, great! But I think it should be a question asked to THEM, not being discussed " behind their back " on here. That's really all I meant by my original response.. Amy Re: Roloff's religion....... Guest guest
They are doing a National Reality TV show that is put forth as a complete expose on their life. People will talk. They are Quasi-celebrities now! if you don't want folks asking about your religion then don't wear a shirt like that! Wearing a shirt like that is a form of proselytization. Something I have no problems with And the definition of that is below To start complaining on here about how folks dissect The Roloffs is wrong, they put themselves out there just like the participants on The Bachelor, The Osbournes, MTV's The Real World, Wife Swap, Extreme Makeover, American Idol ...you get the idea? If you want privacy, you keep the cameras out of your home. I'd be surprised if Matt and Amy were offended. - PS--This isn't " behind their back " I'm sure they read this forum or it gets fed back through some friends. Nobody is attacking their beliefs! Sheesh! prose·ly·ti·zation : To induce someone to join one's own political party or to espouse one's doctrine. Guest guest
Hola chica, I suspect it's a 'bonding' moment type of question. But, like the recent Britney episode; if you put your life 'out there', it's bound to become a subject for scrutiny and you can't blame anyone. As Britney, bodyguard and baby now know, ya can't have it both ways (or, buy a coffee maker, it ain't expensive). (life is sad when you know blond bimbo pop culture references) > Shouldn't that be THEIR business what denomination they are? Guest guest
Roflmao they decided to live in a sideshow and put their life on public view lol. Although I dont believe religion has a place on this list I dont have a problem with someone asking simple questions like that. Chass Brown A.K.A. Guest guest
If anyone wants to know more about the Roloff's religion, all they have to do is read Matt's book. I don't think it is a private issue with them. Bill On 3/12/06, Chass Brown <chass@...> wrote: > > Roflmao they decided to live in a sideshow and put their life on public > view > lol. Guest guest
Hi Everyone, After reading the multiple posts regarding the Roloff's religion. I have a question and a comment. Do you know the religion/beliefs of your closestfriends? We sometimes have such curiosity about those we really don't know well or have become a " celebrity " in our midst, do we have the same for our those whom we know and deeply care about? Just a thought to ponder. I have met the Roloffs(in fact,Amy and I competed in boccia years ago)in passing at conferences and will not profess I know them well but from the few times I spoke with Matt and since the Roloffs chose to allow the public into their lives via television, they would not be offended if anyone asked about their religious beliefs and I do not think it is a questions that is too personal. In fact,I think devoted members of any denominaton/religion would welcome questions about their beliefs/traditions with hope of touching others'lives in a positive way. Bev...
