Hello,

I wanted to drop in here and ask the lp moms to please consider joining the

Pregnancy/OB/Anesthesia Study that is currently underway. We hope to have

at least 50 studies returned by Milwaukee. If you are an lp and over the

age of 18 you would have received the information in the mail. We are

gathering information on anesthesia versus epidural for delivery in

c-section of dwarf women. It you have had at least one pregnancy, no matter

the outcome, your information may be helpful for those planning future

pregnancies. The LPA/MAB has approved this study and Drs.Hoover-Fong,

Krakow and Rossiter are part of it. If you are interested in taking part

Hi Dee,

I am also a lp Mom. I'll do your survey. Send me you're survey and

I'll be happy to answer your questions. I had anesthesia when I had

my c-section. The hospital wanted to give me a spinal and I

refused, I told them my spine was too narrow, they agreed.

Good to see you on here.

Sincerely,

Patti

I am a 46 year old LP and I have been pregnant twice. One resulted in a pre

mature birth where the baby lived for only an hour. She was found to be

born with a chromosome disorder called Trisomy 13 which is almost always

fatal. The other resulted in a normal healthy son who is now just turned

thirteen. I would be happy to be on your study if you want to contact me.

Hi Marj. I didn't know you were on the dwarfism list! I thought you were just

on the sed list. We got a mailing offering for Jarrod to go to camp for a week

in California courtesy of LPA. He is really excited. Guess they are grouping

the kids according to dwarfism type so the playing field is leveled. I don't

think it covers the kids out of district 12 but it would be nice if your

was there. I think the ages are from 15 down.

Have you received anything about this yet?

Hi Willow,

I just recently joined the group.

That is wonderful that Jarrod is going to camp. He will have so

much fun. I wish we lived in the United States. Little People of

America is such an amazing group.

I would have loved it if could have gone also. It would be

so great for Jarrod and to get to know each another.

Marjorie

was home from school today because of hip pain. Somedays are

so much worse than others.

Marilyn,

Hope all is well with you and your family. Seasons are changing here now,

leaves are just about through their color display. Just wanted to drop you

another line and say how important your numbers are to our study. I can

send you another set if you would like? Your input is also important

because you successfully delivered 3 children and what that affect may have

had on your back. There are still some out there who feel carrying a

pregnancy would give them an early onset of back problems.

My friend and I have signed on for the Alaska cruise. I would guess you

have already been there since you are on the West Coast?

Take care,

Dee
