Hello,

Over this past weekend I've been trying to figure out if I want to

go to Disneyland in Florida(weren't able to go last year) or the LPA

national this summer with my daughter. Being a single mother I can't

afford both. The national is pretty much in my backyard and already

booked the room just in case, but I also want to take my daughter to

Flordia(she really deserves to go after everything she has gone

through these past few years). I guess my question is...I was

wondering if Disneyland and the other resorts in Flordia are

accommodating to LP's. Is there rides that my 6 year old can go on

and ones I can also go one? And does anyone have good recommendations

on a good hotel? Stuff like that. Any advice would be helpful!!!

Our family was not able to attend the Orlando Mission. However, we do have a

son on a LDS mission there who will be home in about nine months. A dear family

he met in Florida called to tell us about how well on son is doing, and also

shared a bit about the trip to Orlando we are planning for the Spring of 2007.

We were told that if you stay in one of the hotels inside of Disneyworld, they

provide transportation to any of the sites. Hotels guests recieve special

discounts, and if you go shopping within the parks, you do not have to carry the

packages, because they will personally be delivered to your room for your

return. There are numerous other great things as well.

If you look on the net, or even call Disneyworld hotels, they will be able to

share what hotels will have the discounts for you. We were told that they are

great with working with any type of disabilities.

We wish you the best in this special trip. Our daughter has a WISH TRIP given

to her quite a few years ago, and we did go to Disneyland in California for part

of the Wish trip. They couldn't have been more gracious or understanding.

Just a note, you may want to consider not to go between June to November,

because it is hurricane season. It is already in the 70's to 80's over there

right now, and will get much hotter, and the humidity is pretty high in those

months as well.

offering the " special assistance " passes. My son has AS and when we

went last year he qualified for one and it made such a HUGE

difference for us. We are planning another trip and if we can't get

one again it might change some of our plans. Does anyone know for

sure?

In the Unofficial Guide to Disney World (not Disney Land)2007 it goes

in to detail about " Nonapparent Disabilities " and autism being

included to allow the special assistance passes. So as far as Disney

World it is still available. I think you can assume that Disney Land

would be the same situation. Maybe you can email them and ask to be

sure.

Have fun at Disney!
