Guest guest Posted March 21, 2006 Report Share Posted March 21, 2006 There has been more at times because people send more, and force the moderator to choose between allowing the note, counting how many clever one line notes have been sent on any given day by the same person, or waiting until after midnight to approve a moderated note. Personally I feel that placing the moderators in a no win situation is unfair, and reading the rules upon joining ANY email group is a courtesy that should be extended to the chosen group, rather than each person going blithely along assuming that the rules surely don't apply to " me " ! There are " rules " in all aspects of life that must apply or else chaos merrily ensues. It's a matter of respect for each other and yourself, especially when the rules are short and sweet. Of course, I have been wrong before. We really encourage everyone to please take part in these, as often our " voter turnout " tends to be low for a group this size. The link to these current two polls will follow below. Regarding the poll concerning marriage...I believe this is actually the excellent survey Rose and are conducting on their own. If I remember correctly, Rose mentioned soon after announcing their survey, the possibility of presenting their results at the Detroit Convention. Fred, I'm sorry that you are, once again, upset with the relationship poll that closed a mere month ago. & I collected almost 400 responses and trying to sift through all that information takes time. Speaking for myself, I am not planning on releasing anything at this time because the data has not been analyzed fully. (We both have very active full time jobs and live close to 900 miles from each other) but I will say on the initial look our results correlate very, very closely with Dr. Shakespeare's survey and that has been held up as realiable.
