Question! Carpal Tunnel and Diastrophic Dwarfism- any answers? :)

Well, I think I've got it- Carpal Tunnel. For the past 6 months I've had a

problem with my hands. The symptoms I am feeling exactly match what I've read

about on med websites. Numbness in thumb and forefingers (more the right hand

since that is the hand I use more). I have a tendancy to put off going to the

doc. I finally saw my PCP today. I got a doc that doesn't know me AT ALL. (My

regular doc wasn't working today) I think I put him at ease when I said, " I'm

sure you are probably freaking out here. My condition is called diastrophic

dwarfism..blah, blah, blah. " Ya know, the regular sphiel. He laughed and said,

" Yeah, I've heard of it (which actually surprised me). But, I've never seen

it! " This made me laugh... " it " . He was really cute, so I let that go! Heehee!

Anyway, he agreed that I should check out my own resources first before trying

out the big people avenues.

So, you guys are a great resource! What do ya think? I miss our greatest

resource, Dr. Kopits. But, we have to find our way through this stuff without

him

now.

I have to say I don't think it's neck related or anything. I don't feel this

anywhere but my hands and a little in my forearms.
