You didn't Deb, don't worry about it. Post away. You were confused in

your post, and you had every right to be. I'm swamped trying to

answer a lot of stuff, so I have to ask -- did you get replies?

As a former moderator of this list, I just want to lend my support to

whatever makes our list administrators' jobs easier. It doesn't seem to me

that unsigned posts have been a real problem -- just about everyone signs at

least his or her first name. Why not just ignore the unsigned ones, if

that's your inclination?

The " official " list has lots of spiffy rules. It's also had one post in the

past seven days.

Thanks to everyone who has added to the unsigned post thread. I

appreciate Ken for bringing the topic up. This issue has appeared in

the rules for almost a year now and we do request that people not only

sign their posts but learn to cut the trail of 5 previous posts when

folks reply to something.

I agree with Ken and find unsigned posts to be an annoyance. I find it

interesting that folks request information from members (whether it be

the name of a good ortho doc or what state do you come from) but are

too afraid of sharing any information about themselves. I have a hard

time believing anyone's birth certificate has " LilHotStud69 " listed as

their birth name.

This being said, I am happy to set up a poll to determine what people

would like to see done. However, there are restrictions on this poll.

We currently have a membership of 3467 members. I'm guessing

conservatively that approx 10% of this number posts with any

regularity which means 346.7 people, which I will round up to 347. If

we do not get at least 1/3 of that number (347/3 = 115.6 which becomes

116) to respond to the poll then nothing will change regardless of the

choices. I think I am being very fair with the number. I will not

changing any rule for 3 votes.

The poll will stay open for 3 weeks. Vote early & vote often.
