Guest guest Posted January 2, 2007 Report Share Posted January 2, 2007 Since LPA operates within the laws and regulations of the U.S., one big obstacle I can easily see is HIPAA. And if this tells you anything, by law, hospitals are not allowed to mention cause of death to the paper or anyone the deceased didn't want to know about it (that can include even family). So I do see your point and agree with Bill that MAB should have something more for mental health than we presently do, as the need is growing across the board.
