Guest guest
Having had constant neck pain for a year, I finally gave up and went to an orthopedist. (Of course the one who did my hip doesn't do necks, but he referred me.) He said that the C1/C2 vertebrae are okay (I was glad to hear that, since I have SEMD), but C3 through C7 have arthritis. He prescribed anti-flammatories and PT (physical theray - or is that physical torture???). The therapist had me move my neck in various new and exciting directions and had me do exercises between sessions. We also reviewed how I sit at work, is the computer screen at eye level (yes), are my feet supported (yes), etc. All of this has had no effect (to the consternation of the PT, who was sure it would). I'm not rolling in the floor in pain or anything, but it is uncomfortable to a greater or lesser degree all the time. Has anyone had this and if so, have you found something that helps?
