She knows that SOME of her friends were going, and needed a spare room.. she just doesn't know for sure how many are going to be in the room. But yes, the room IS accounted for, and it's NOT Just some " extra " room being booked for " just in case " purposes.. it is being occupied by myself and a few other friends. Just thought I would clear that up............ Amy

(sorry April) [snip here] Matt -- Thanks to you, Rob, and others for all the hard work you're doing on this. I didn't realize so many people were double-booking. That explains what's going wrong. Here's the situation we find ourselves in. I'm sure we're no different from a lot of other people. We had originally talked about all four of us traveling to SF for the whole week. But we realized we can't afford to do that. Now I'm hoping to go - just me and my daughter - for maybe three, possibly four days so that I can try to sell some books and she can take part in a few events. But we're still not ready to commit. Meanwhile, here it is only New Year's Day and the hotel seems to be already booked. One thing that would help ... since you predict massive cancellations, would it be possible to talk the hotel into setting up an LPA waiting list? Thanks, Dan Kennedy
