There are just some boneheads out there that need to be taught a lesson. The tides do turn sometimes it just takes time. Helen
Guest guest
Just finished reading this story and wrote a letter to the Sun as follows: I'm writing from Abilene, Texas, U.S.A.. I just finished reading the story about the English, the young man with Dwarfism and the cruel treatment and comments he was subjected to by his store manager, other employees, and customers. I hope there is some law in place to punish his employer. What a shame that in this day in age people continue to show their ignorance and cruelty to those who happen to be different. I would urge those who have an opportunity to give words of encouragement to this young man and to voice their outrage to the owners of the Kwik Serve Supermarket. I am the Grandfather of a one year old grandson who also has a form of Dwarfism. He is the first Little Person in are family and as I have learned 85% of Dwarfs are born to families of average height with no history of Dwarfism. I am glad that at least here in the USA people with Dwarfism and other differences are being accepted for what they are--people---just like everyone else. There are still those who will show their ignorance and cruelty, but laws, courts and more importantly people, who know what is right and proper are speaking out to correct these wrongs. Support this young man and the next time you see someone being treated in this manner, step up and educate these ignorant people. Bruce F.
