Actually, if some of you have been keeping up with the government posts

that Tia and I have posted on here - the Bush administration had

appointed a number of ANTI-ADA justices onto the various Circuit Courts

throughout the United States - including Sutton and Bill Pryor.

Sutton and Pryor have extensive records advocating for clients that

went AGAINST cases of the disabled (and won a number of them).

So, no, Bush hasn't " directly " tinkered with the ADA, but he's

definitely put some set-backs for the disabled in other ways.

Some of those judicial nominees were the reason why the Senate

Judiciary Committee " took cots out to their chambers " during the voting

a couple of months ago - and why some Democrats tried to filibuster

some of those nominees. Most to all (I don't remember) of Bush's

nominees were appointed into their respective circuit courts.

These appointments won't greatly affect us. However for some of you,

the next time you want to say - take on your old company for

" disabilility discrimination " - depending on which state you reside in,

watch out.

party. The ADA was signed into law in 1990 under President Bush (Sr.).

monkeyed with the old man's legacy. In fact, much of the assistive technology

on the market today was developed by the Department of Defense.
