Guest guest
Hello, I am a swm 45 living in the L.A. area, I am on ' Medi- cal " so my insurance is very limited, I have had a right " hemi " hip replacement in 1993 at Harbor General UCLA hospital by Dr Schmallzreid, I feel that the operation was NOT sucessful, I was told by my doctors that I would not limp any longer nor would I have any pain, after years and years of " chickening " out of the operation, I finally got the courage up in 6/19/93 to do it, I NEVER ever walked straight, I have been in total madening insane pain for over 18 years, I take 40 vicodin tablets every day for pain (it hardly helps) I was told by doctors at Stanford University (Dr Goodman) that my hip is so BADLY worn out, they fear it may collapse at any time.............................this was in 1998 I do not know what to do, I feel that another operation may not work again, in the mean time, I spend most of my time chasing pain releif that does not work, I am writing this post in crazy insane pain, I can rarely sleep, not much of a life at all, and I am not exagerating anything at all, if any thing its all a gross understatement, anybody have advice please ? thank you !
