Guest guest
I have had 2 doctor visits in the last 2 days. The first one was with the orthopeadic surgeon. He says my xrays are fine and that he thinks I am where I should be. Maybe that my new hip has made my leg a little long, or my pronounced sway could be from not enough muscle tone. Interestingly, when my husband told him the amount of exercise I have been doing he asked if I was pushing myself too hard. He says he thinks my pain levels will reduce and that maybe I could start reducing the brufen. I said to my husband that I did not want to go back to what I was before the brufen. Today I visited a doctor who specialises in muscles and skeletons who often works with my orthopeadic surgeon. He says many of my muscles are in spasm and he did some work to try to get them to release. Because I had to fill in a " map " with any pain I had anywhere in my body he saw I have shoulder pain. He said the places in my shoulders where I have pain would affect the muscle tone round the hip. He actually spent more time working on them than the hip muscles. My thigh pain,in the front centre of the body, he thinks is from spasmed muscles so he worked on the trigger points there too. It seems everything is connected. The body is an amazing piece of equipment. He says for me to keep taking my pain killers routinely for another 3 or 4 days and then start taking them only when I need them. I see him again 5 January. I go back to work on 4 January. Thank you for the support this group brings. Margaret from Australia
