Hi Patti, My heart goes out to you!! Pre-surgery jitters is bad enough. Adding shingles is just awful!! I hope you can recover from it in time to undergo surgery on the 24th. Mine is scheduled for the 23rd, and I'm depressed about taking the semester off to get it over with because of my increasing pain in walking. I hope things go well for you. How old are your children? It's tough to deal with this when there are young children to be cared for. Write about your feelings, at least that gets them out in the light.
