Guest guest Posted December 17, 2005 Report Share Posted December 17, 2005 RTKR is in my near future, and I'd hoped to be able to learn more about this procedure, as well as hear about everyone's experiences having it done. So a few weeks ago I joined this, and a couple of other related lists. This list is GREAT! I have learned a lot about TKR, far more than I'd ever thought was possible. And I admit to being not just hesitant, but terrified of having this surgery. Now, my feeling about it, is that it will probably be a good thing in the long run. I'm also an "A" type personality, am pretty good at dealing with pain, and am pretty stubborn at overcoming and recovering from obstacles as quickly as possible. I know some of you are scheduled for this procedure in January, and as you are able, when you get home from the hospital, I would really like to hear about the surgery and your recovery period. I think since I joined, Bill is the only one who has had the surgery, and I have really apperciated his account of the process. Thanks Bill! And thanks list! Much appreciated.
