Lots of bandsters ride horses. Once you're healed from surgery, you should be able to do ANY activities you could do before surgery, plus ones you couldn't due to your weight. Well, if you get kicked or bucked off, you'd be much more likely to have bruises or broken bones than anything else, and unlikely anything with your band. If your horse kicked your belly and did enough damage to affect your band, it would have affected much more important things than your band, and the band would be the least of your worries. dan Dan Lester, Boise, ID honu@... www.mylapband.tk Dr. Ortiz, Tijuana, 4/28/03 323/209/199 Age
Guest guest
Hi , Sounds like the horse is quite sick: if I were you, I would call a Vet. While Kombucha may help it is impossible to know what is going on and more than Kombucha may be needed. Best wishes for your whole family two leggeds and four leggeds. Guest guest
Hi Bev, maybe I wasn't very clear in my previous post, but the vet has been out to see Tisha. He says that it is a good sign that she is trying to stand and walk periodically, and he did give her an injection (Banamine, anti-inflammatory) to reduce the swelling in her brain. (He says she is basically dealing with a severe migraine, and the brain swelling is causing the paralysis. He said that the horses who do not make it are the ones who go down and never get up again.) Anyway, I am still hopeful that KT can help, after all it is an anti-viral (as well as a host of other positive qualities!) At this point, all we can do is make her comfortable, and encourage her immune system to pick up the pace while the virus runs its course. The vet tells us that we have the rather dubious distinction of being the 1st west nile case in the county (and perhaps the state) so far. Any other suggestions are much appreciated! (And I'm looking for elderberries, thank you!) Kind regards, in Wyoming > Hi , > Sounds like the horse is quite sick: if I were you, I would call a Vet. > While Kombucha may help it is impossible to know what is going on and more > than Kombucha may be needed. > Best wishes for your whole family two leggeds and four leggeds. > Peace, Love and Harmony, > Bev
Guest guest
Hi , Don't know if this will help, but I thought of iodine. I'm taking it twice a week and I'm sending a site url for you to look at that has uses for it including horses, cattle and dogs. It was originally used for endurance, but, of course, it kills all kinds of viruses and bacteria. Also, do you have any colloidal silver? http://www.jcrows.com/iodine.html Good luck, > > Hi , > > Sounds like the horse is quite sick: if I were you, I would call a Vet. > > While Kombucha may help it is impossible to know what is going on > and more > > than Kombucha may be needed. > > Best wishes for your whole family two leggeds and four leggeds. > > Peace, Love and Harmony, > > Bev

Guest guest
Hi everyone, I spent from Tuesday morning until Thursday night at the hospital. My horse bucked me off and we broke rib # 1 and 2 on the right, and rib # 1 on the left. Hurts like Hell but it didn't damage my back or knees. My husband has no trouble with her, my daughter had trouble with her also. I guess she doesn't like women. Anyway, gotta go through this horse riding thinking again. I can't sleep so here I am.
