Guest guest
Hi , I am about 125 for the bend and flat for the knee. A couple of weeks ago I went from 6 down to 3 and last week I went from 3 to 1. When I went to PT Monday my leg was totally straight and the back of my knee was flat on the table. She did not even have to stretch me out. I had trigger points and the PT kept working on them with heat and massage. She applied heat to my hamstring while she massaged the TP's. I have also been going monthly to acupuncture for over a year for OA. I still go for my left knee. The week that I went from a 3-1 I also had acupuncture - 16 needles in my left leg and 3 (2 mid-fibula down, 1 in my ankle -no where near the knee)in the implant leg. The 3 in the implant leg were excruciating. The pain was like the break through pain I had in the hospital and it lasted for 22 minutes. I almost called the front desk to get the doctor to take them out. Then suddenly, all the pain stopped. I don't know if it was the acupuncture or the trigger point release that got me flat or a combination of both. I am starting a Step II program tomorrow. I have been going up and down the stairs normally (but slower) i.e. alternating feet for a few days now. Looking back I didn't know if I was ever going to get full extension.
