Guest guest
I was thinking about this last night, maybe after reading too many of your posts, but I was scheduling myself for both hips surgery at the end of October. I am a woman, 54, live alone, in NY, where the winters are very snowy and I live in a rural area. I was wondering if this was a good idea for me, or if I should just postpone the surgery a few more months (I've waited this long) until May, when the snow and mud are gone). I was hoping for some feedback from people who decided about when to have surgery based on the season. Also, I only get paid when I work. So I do need to get disability assistance. Has anyone had any experience with this, getting SSD or SSI, and how did it go? Rethinking my options, Jess
