to know why it is that there seems to be a lot of blood transfusions after hip and knee surgery, but when my husband had a quad bi-pass they didn't give him any - and that is 6 hours of surgery - doesn't make much sense to me. >>> Don't know myself Ann~ Here's ya one even better.... my THR only 2 units of blood given~ first revision I had to be given 4... but on second revision~ I didn't need anything. Same body... and the surgeries that were the worst... I needed less blood during ? Very odd issue 2 me too!
