Guest guest
It was weird with me. My doctor told me I'd get a block in the groin but they must have put me out first because I have no recollection of any needles anyplace. I remember the blood pressure cuff getting way to tight and then the lights went out. I don't remember seeing a puncture wound in my groin though either so I don't know what I had actually. I just remember bits and pieces of the 4 days I was in the hospital. I know they do not take you from recovery until you can count backward from 10 or give them your birth date. I have no recollection of the recovery room. My husband stayed with me for 2 hours after they brought me back to my room and he could not get me to come to. He tickled me and leaned down and talked to me but there was no response. He said he was afraid I'd slipped into a coma. The nurse said I was fine. Finally he had to head for home which was an hour and a half drive. We have animals and they had to be fed so he left. I told him not to come and see me because of the distance and the hassle. People called me and I talked to them but they said I didn't make much sense. I have no memory of phone calls either. Kind of scary. Whatever they gave me really messed up my brain. I did use the happy button I remember that though. Sherry *** SPAM (05.1) ***: Re: Spinal VS. General? Guest guest
By "happy button" I meant the button on the rail of our bed that enables you to administer pain meds to yourself when you need them. Guest guest
Yes, I saw it on Breakfast TV here ! The tears started when his daughter read her memorium, how sweet and brave was she ? WONDERFUL MAN! Ok, I went to see the man on Monday..(pre-op) TKR.. I've chosen to have a spinal which he said will last 3-4 hrs.. then its morphine low dose tho.. also some kind of drip into my knee from both sides, this is also pain relief.. fingers crossed. He asked what kind of music I like, as they work with the sound system on to deaden the noise .. lol He also said bring your walkman as we may differ in choice of music.. I guess he was trying to lighten the situation, afterall they operate every day. speak soon peeps Kathy

Guest guest
Hi Susie Aussie Margaret knew all about Steve Irwin but, because I don't watch TV I didn't know he existed until he met with the unfortunate death. From what I have read in the media since I don't think that his family will have any financial worries. Regarding the message in the subject line, it's a mystery to me. It has been attaching itself to messages on this board for about a week. Have a great day.
