Hi Susie, I'm sorry, I can't answer your question. I know a bit about knees since I had those replaced. And I'm just learning about the hips since one day, I don't want too think when :-), those have to go. But perhaps Margaret and the other "hippies" can give you some advice. I'll put a notation in the subject line of this e-mail to see if we can get you an answer. One thing I do know, Susie, if you are in pain, you can seek a second opinion from a doctor who will communicate well with you. I remember you said your doctor doesn't make the effort to understand you, and that concerns me. Perhaps there is relief for you, whether it is a revision or pain management, if you find the right doctor. My wish for you in 2007 is that there is a surgeon or pain managment specialist near you in Gurnee, Illinois, who can help you feel better. My wish for me is

that I can count my blessings and have an upbeat attitude like yours, Susie. Warm regards, Donna Happy new year to you! Suzanne Snyder <juneflower63@...> wrote: Hi Donna, I had a Hip replacement done in April it will be seven years I have bad scar

tissures I was wondering can do the Manipulation for you Hip ? Have a nice day :-) Susie Donna Hart <ohdonna_68 > wrote: Brad, I'm sure you will hear from others here who have had successful manipulation. I had some scar tissue after BTKRs in September, but fortunately aggressive massage by my PT seemed to have broken it up. It hurt, but amazingly it worked. I wanted to share with you you that a coworker, who had knee repair not replacement in September, had a very difficult issue with scar tissue. She tried returning to work twice and had to leave. She then had manipulation and is as good as new. I hope it works as well for you. From what I hear from others, you will have some discomfort after manipulation but then will feel great relief as well as progress in ROM. If you check previous threads on the Joint Replacement page, you will find a one started by Alan, one member who recently had manipulation.
