Guest guest
Hi-- I'm sure you've talked this subject to death, but I should appreciate getting some advice on this subject. I live near Philadelphia and the only doctor of whom I've heard is Dr. Mears out in Pittsburgh--which is quite a jaunt for us. Anybody have any other suggestions? Is it really as advertised? That you can get up and walk within 48 hours? I have put off and put off having this surgery, but now it looks as if I must. Could sure use some consoling. Yes, they will be getting you out of bed and make you walk up and down the halls with a walker. When my husband went home on the fifth day, he had mastered the art of crutches. He's getting around the house pretty well and the rumor is that he might be able to drive after two weeks (tomorrow he sees the doctor and gets his staples taken out). How long he will be on crutches, I don't know. Charlotte in Iowa
Guest guest
Check out www.Zimmer.com and click on patient/caregiver. Then look on the left side of the page for " Find a Doctor " . There are about five of them in your area who do the MIS procedures. Also, this site has a ton of info on the subject. I have an appointment with a Doc here this Thursday for a MIS Mini. 95% of all his MIS THR patients walk out of the hospital and go home within 24 hours of surgery. Good hunting,,,,danny > Hi-- > > I'm sure you've talked this subject to death, but I should > appreciate getting some advice on this subject.
