Guest guest
Jan My revised (2nd and current) knee implant is also the Depuy Rotating model. It last longer in theory. As to driving I would be cautious if you are taking pain meds past the 3 weeks you mention. My neurosurgeon told me of a patient of his who got in a DUI accident when taking vicodins. I personally feel the police will write you up if they catch you driving while taking pain meds. Especially if you get in an accident. So be careful or have someone else drive while on meds. The Dupuy is doing better for me than the original brand I had but I still am not doing great. My surgeon measured my ROM at 16-86 or about that at 5 weeks. The first TKR was terrible and I could not flex without extreme pain. The newer revision is better but I still have pain. I guess I fall into the small 5% who have troubles where the 95% do well. Good luck with your surgery. I hope it is a snap for you. Al Welch > > I saw my surgeon again this week. This is the knee replacement I am > getting. He said it is the Cadillac of knee replacements.
