Guest guest
Hi Lynn, Congratulations! 120 aftr 2 weeks? Wow! I just joined this Group,,,,haf my TKR on Feb 16th, so I about 2 weeks ahead of the 'pain' schedule than you...I speak for anyone else, but from my experience, those 'cramps' will get better it'll get better soon. I had a coupla weeks, right around weeks 4 & 5 where it felt like averything between my hip & my toes were taking turns causing pain. I lost sleep for a couple of days because my hip hurt, back towards the butt! I mean, really, I was expecting a pain in my knee, not a pain in my... But as the excersizes work their way through your various muscles, all I can say is tht if one part hurts, then take it a little easier with whatever excersise might be causing it. I honestly thought that I had pulled a muscle or two, but I think 'stretched' is a better term, and after the initial stretching, the pain, at least for me, eased up greatly,,,,meanwhile, a whole new pain woould make an experience. Sorry for being long-winded, but you also said you only have 2 more weeks of PT left? My Therapist & Dr. are both expecting me to continue 'official' PT for at least another before they trust me to work out on my own...So I guess I'm curious as to why your's is ending so soon? Bob > > Hi All! I don't post much, but I finally had TKR on 2/27/06. Doing absolutely great. I was at 120 degrees at just over two weeks. Now.........my thigh really hurts. It feels like a charley horse all the time. And both calves are hurting. I put my TED hose back on to see if that would help. I have two more weeks of PT. I'm wondering if I maybe pulled a muscle or something? But, the calves? Yesterday I got a cramp in my thigh that made me almost cry. Don't know what is up. Thanks.
