Hi All,

Well, it's Happy Gobble Gobble day here in the USofA. I have a 5 pound turkey breast (only) to roast and I have yams, green bean casserole, stuffing (Stove Top brand; easy) to prepare. Also, some cut up veggies with dill dip, some olives and cheese and crackers. And to top it off, a pumpkin pie with real whipped cream. YUM! All for me and my doggie. We're going to live it up today. There goes the 9 pounds I lost. YIKES! I actually make my doggie a plate of her own with everything on it. Oh, and I have cranberrie relish, homemade, I made last night -- Nikki will even eat cranberries. She's a silly ol willy goofy woofy doggie. Here's a picture of my best friend: Nikki Grace.

Love & Hugs,

Lindy Lou

Thank you Susie. I had a good Thanksgiving. Hope you did as well. Yes that is me with my doggie. I didn't see the photo come through; I thought it got lost in cyberspace somewhere. LOL I've attached the full picture, so you can see all my many chins. :-) And, I want to see if it comes through for me this time.

Hugs,

Lindy Lou

Susie,

What a lovely lady you are and look at your beautiful red hair. You sure do not look to be 63. And, your grandson is very handsome. I just know you are so proud of him.

Thanks for sharing your photo.

Susie,

I color my hair as well. In fact, I'm going next Thursday for a hair cut and color, yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay, because I'm looking quite drab. Ick! ;-) Oh, and I was going to treat myself right before my surgery to a Pedicure -- but I found out that I cannot have ANY nail polish on, going into surgery, so that idea is out of the question now. Oh well! It will save me some money. I can treat myself to a Pedicure later on, after I'm up and about.

Have a great day, Susie.

Hugs

Lindy, LOL....I'm not sure if this qualifies as important surgery and post-op info. But I did invest in a pedicure. I took the polish off before surgery. And my daughter put it back on for me afterward. With or without polish, my nails are trimmed and neat and the bottoms of my feet smooth. I'm so glad because never have my feet, among other things, been so visible to so many people. Whether it's the surgeon, rehab doctor, nurse, aide or physical therapist or the friend who comes to help out, every time Imy feet exposed ar exposed, I feel better. :-) And anything that makes you feel better during recovery is a good thing. :-) Warm regards, Donnalindy <everyothername.istaken@...> wrote: Susie, I color my hair as well. Lindy,

The pedicure is a good idea, both before and after. Before, just

ask for no polish. The problem after is that you will not be able

to reach your toes to cut your nails yourself until you are released from

the 90 degree hip bend restriction. I asked my wife to cut my toe

nails .....she bought me a gift certificate for a pedicure, and now I'm

addicted to them..

I'll never cut my own toe nails again....Not because I can't but because

I love a pedicure so much.....You will too

larry,

how fabulous you get pedicures. aren't they GREAT? do you sit in one of those chairs with you feet in soapy sudsy bubbling water? i've only had like 3 pedicures in my lifetime -- all in one of those chairs. the hair salon i go to now has those chairs, yaaaaaaaaaaaaay! i didn't even think about cutting my own toenails after. yikes, i better schedule a pedicure. ;-) i pretty much can't do much with my right foot now, it's VERY difficult because my leg just won't go into the positions i'd like it to. ;-P when i try to polish the nails on my right foot, forgetaboutit! i end up with polish everywhere.

have a great day!

lindy
