Guest guest Posted June 11, 2005 Report Share Posted June 11, 2005 I am wondering if some of you can give me some advise regarding a timeline for going back to work I am booked for a RT. THR in August ( exact date uncertain ). I have been waiting on the surgery list for a year. Before that, I spent 7 years in great pain....was told I was " too young " for a THR. I am 50. I work as an Xray tech., and this is a VERY physically demanding job. I had to go on sick leave last week - I could no longer walk well enough to do the job, I was just lurching along. I had a patient ask if they could help me! I now am using a cane. My disability plan will cover some of my lost salary when I have used up my sick time. But I need to have an idea as to how many months recovery time I will need. I realize that everyone is different.....but any input would be appreciated.
