Wow ... that's not something I received. I was just told to cough every half hour!Jackie Hi Arianne,Are you going to get home nursing and PT. I didn't know PT would be an option.Ha Ha -- I always seem to wear "heavy clothing" also!I wonder if I'll also get to talk to an Anesthesiologist this Thursday, when I go for my pre-surgery physical? They gave you a breather? What is a breather? Why'd they give you one NOW?I'm getting kind of jittery as well. I called today to find out who my medical supply provider is and got the name of the place, but also found out it's the social worker at the hospital who takes care of all that. That's nice. And the equipment will be delivered to my home.Well, it won't be long now, for either of us. Next week at this time . . . YIKES! LOLHugs,Lindy LouRight THR 1/22/2007I spent 3 hours at the hospital for my pre-op work today. Had an EKG, took blood, had a chest x-ray, and they tried to talk me into getting home nursing and pt. Was weighed also, which we won't discuss. Let's just say I had very heavy clothes on.Also spoke with the Anesthesiologist. They will give me an anti-nausea drug so I won't be sick. It worked great last time. I also got the breather, although I still have the one they gave me last time. Paid my co-pay and guess I am already to go. I feel jittery this time. Didn't feel that way in August before having the other hip done. Maybe because I really had no time to think about it then. I don't want to dwell, so I am trying to think of other things. I certainly will be glad when this is all over.ArianneTV dinner still cooling?Check out "Tonight's Picks" on TV. No banners. No pop-ups. : Lindy, I went to an inpatient PT facility from the hospital for a week. And, yes, I did take it there and continued to use it. I'm having lunch with my brother today to loan him my crutches and walker. He doesn't want my cane because it's

pink and flowered. :-) He is getting a TKR on the 24th, two days after your surgery. I'm going to have to do lots of praying for you, him and the others having surgery soon. It's going to be great to hear about your recoveries week by week. No regrets here. Anything but. My knees still get sore but I'm marveling at how much stronger and sturdier my legs feels. And still no hip pain! I can't believe it. It may be that the knee replacements will stave off the hip replacements for longer than I ever hoped. Keep the faith! Donna,

It's nice of you to share your crutches and walker with your brother. ;-) I don't blame him for not wanting your cane. HA! I have a leopard print cane. GROOVY!

I'm sure glad I scheduled my surgery when I did because my pain has gotten even worse.

Hi Susie,

I found the leopard cane at a local pharmacy a few years ago. When I checked there a few weeks ago, they didn't have any leopard, but they had some very pretty ones. I almost felt like buying a new one, til I saw the price. Now I can't remember what it was, I only know it was OUTRAGEOUS!

And, yes, I suppose it does make me feel somewhat better carrying it rather than a plain one.
