Guest guest
Hi Sherry I saw my OS yesterday and he said that I could sleep on my side ( I will be 6 weeks post op on saturday). I tried both sides last night - my operated side is still slightly swollen, so that was a bit uncomfortable, but I was OK on my unoperated side - I'll keep trying my operated side until I feel comfortable with it. Good luck with the recovery Lesley > Hi > Just wondering when your doctor said you can sleep on the side you > were operated on? Guest guest
I asked my ortho that very question on Monday past. I was four weeks yesterday. He said four more weeks on my back or unoperated side. My problem is my operated side (right) is my normal sleeping side and I can't fall asleep on my back so have been taking Ambien. My doc is on the conservative side, by the way. > Hi > Just wondering when your doctor said you can sleep on the side you > were operated on? Guest guest
My O/S said since it was full weight bearing, I could do it anytime, but since it's been just over one and a half weeks since surgery, the hip is still swollen. I can only hope that day comes soon enough as sleeping on my back sucks! Kenny > > Hi > > Just wondering when your doctor said you can sleep on the side you > > were operated on?
