Guest guest
Yes, I had my right knee replaced on June 30th at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco. How did you like Alta Bates? I've heard good things about it.Pimentel7@... wrote: Hi SaraIt's a small world, isn't it? Have you had surgery yet? Guest guest
Yes- we are about 20 minutes from the airport. However, I had my surgery across the bay in Walnut Creek with Muir Medical Center. --- Pimentel7@... wrote: > Hi JenH > Pacifica......is that over by the San Francisco > Airport? > Sally > ____________________________________________________ Start your day with - make it your home page http://www./r/hs

Guest guest
CPMC was the creme de la creme of hospitals in my view. They were superb in every single department--from the nurses to the folks who mopped the floor and delivered the meals! No one would want to go to a hospital, but if you have to go, it's wonderful to feel pampered and supported and cared about. I'm not sure if they specialize in knee replacements per se, but a lot of good S.F. orthopedic surgeons are connected to CPMC. I had a cortisone shot a month before my surgery, too. It made all the difference! To me, it was like a preview of how good things were going to be once I had the surgery. Things seem to be going smoothly--7 weeks post-op tomorrow. I'm planning to go back to work in 2 weeks.Pimentel7@... wrote: Alta Bates was ok......what about the California Pacific Medical Center? Do they specialize in knee replacements? How have you done since the surgery? I'm looking at a knee replacement down the line. In fact, just had a cortizone shot yesterday. I certainly hope all is going in the right direction for you.Sally Sara The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness. – Galbraith

I don't think shecan terminate me if I am complying to her demands and paying my share of thepremiums to her on time especially considering the state agencies that knowwhat is going on. This law has been confirmed by the State InsuranceDepartment. She can indeed terminate me if I fall behind in my payments. So far, I'm a month ahead of schedule.God bless you! Guest guest
I have degenerative disk disease so I know what you mean. It's no fun having back pain on top of a knee or hip hurting all the time. One day at a time is all any of us can do. Guest guest
Sally, I used to live in Walnut Creek when my hip trouble begain. I have since moved across the bay to be closer to work. i really liked my doctors out there and sometimes it is a real pain to change so we decided to keep the ortho doc and my primary care doc. The ortho wing at Muir was great. I loved the nurses, PT folks and the pre-op folks. Definitely recommend it to anyone. --- Pimentel7@... wrote: > Hi JennH > I am very familiar with Muir Medical Center. > How is it that you had > your surgery there? > Sally > ____________________________________________________ Start your day with - make it your home page http://www./r/hs
