What part of the leg are you having replaced?

Surely not the whole leg?

I have heard of having the whole femur replaced. I even saw the xray

showing it. I think it was in a two year old or a two year old

replacement.

Great help here aren't I! It may have been on the osteonecrosis

group on .

Seriously, No one has ever heard of someone with an artificial leg?

I didn't thing they were that uncommon. Do a web search and you will

find at least 5 places that sell them. I just need to know how

artificial parts are controlled and installed. How about an

artificial arm. Anyone heard of them? I myself don't need one, just

need to know how they work.

Susie

The femur is the bone that goes from the hip to the knee.

Hi Sue. Is the femur the bone that they use when they do a hip or knee replacement on you? Well you have a nice day :-) SusieSue <tubbs8695@...> wrote: SusieThe femur is the bone that goes from the hip to the knee.Sue> > > >> > > > Does anyone know about leg replacement surgery or a website that> > >> >>

I have never heard of " leg replacements. " I think " leg amputations "

might be what you mean.

---Hi Becky,

I typed " How does the brain control artificial limbs " into my

search bar and got this;

http://www.local6.com/news/4643968/detail.html

And this;

http://www.rsna.org/rsna/media/pr2004/pr_brain_remapping.html

And this;

http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2006/03/060322140608.htm

And there were quite a few more on there too. Hope this helps. .....

Susie

The top of the femur is the hip and the bottom the knee.
