Guest guest
My hospital gave me a little plastic card to carry, with my personal identification details and saying I'd had a hip replacement and what kind it is. So if any security problems arise when I travel, I can show them that. (better than showing them my scar!) Margaret in Israel

It sort of cracks me up that they might think me a terrorist anyway. I did see them take an old lady's knitting needles away last time I flew. y
Guest guest
Hi all. I am going to be flying for the first time since my surgery and wanted to know what to expect at the airports. I have heard horror stories about this. KeimSee AOL's top rated recipes and easy ways to stay in shape for winter.
Guest guest
As you are walking through the security portal tell them that you have a joint replacement and will probably set it off. After you do, they will pull you aside and have you wait for a person to come run a wand over you and pat you down. You will have to have bare feet at this point. You can't touch your stuff that went through the x-ray until this is done. It only takes a few minutes. It's painless but allow yourself an extra ten minutes. -----Original Message-----From: Joint Replacement [mailto:Joint Replacement ]On Behalf Of KeimM43@...Sent: Thursday, December 20, 2007 8:00 AMJoint Replacement Subject: Re: Airports Hi all.
