Guest guest
I've just come back from a wonderful relaxing holiday. Only problem has been that my revised hip - perfect on the xrays - isn't infact very perfect at all. >>> Welcome home Margaret... glad 2 hear you had a terrific time. Amen 2 what you said we do what WE think, because it is not the medical people who have to live with the conquences of bad advice every day for the rest of their life. I tell'm all the time.... you may have the degree~ but no one knows my body better then ME. Hate that I can relate 2 ya on the good x~ray/bad leg deal. Could always be worse though... so don't forget 2 count your blessings.
Guest guest
I think I do try to count my blessings. I had a new man at my exercise group today. He looked at the group and I could see on his face that he thought he would show us how fit and healthy he was. I reminded him with each exercise to only do half of the repetitions because it was his first time. At first he continued and ignored me, but by the end he was barely doing half of what the regulars, including me, were doing. I bet he is sore tomorrow. All the top half because they were the exercises we do first. So what has that to do with counting your blessings? 1 I am not so incapaciated that I can't move at all. 2 I have a chance of keeping my body reasonably healthy. 3 My stick and duck waddle encourage others to think they can exercise too - and that is one of the things I am employed to do. 4 My male volunteers help me move tables and furniture now - they never did before my revision. 5 My boss hasn't decided that I am too disabled to run a healthy active ageing program. I'm sure there are many more, but that will do for the time being. *smile* and the world smiles with you Aussie Margaret RTHR 1990 revised 2004 PS: I just thought of another blessing ----- I can still have GREAT sex. Guest guest
I'm sure there are many more, but that will do for the time being. PS: I just thought of another blessing ----- I can still have GREAT sex. >>> Amen 2 your listing Margaret... bet 2 "Mr.Showyaup" was all about wishing he'd heeded your advise on the tips. <giggling> Some gotta learn the hard way & just don't swallow advise well... suppose it's the fact that they actually learn that means the most regardless of how it actually happens. As 2 your PS I couldn't help but get tickled... and there again Amen 2 that~ that's yet another blessing to my misfortune in the restrictions staying intact... things were good before~ but still good and much more interesting at times trying to find the right combinations... hub & I actually get tickled at times he says makes him feel like a "never dipped the noodle kinda man" <giggling> experimenting for the what works. You don't manage 16 yrs. together without having some kind of spice to hold the flavor over the years.... but sure is nice feeling new about one another & playing like kids that's new in a relationship. Your like me on the bad body with good out look on matters Margaret.... sure is nice 2 be able to smile & not let matters drag ya down~ life in general gives enough of that without one doing it to themselves! If I happen 2 find the store selling body parts I'll get us both a tune up kit for Christmas. I wouldn't change myself... but sure would be nice 2 chug a bottle of relief on some days hummmm ? <giggling>
