Guest guest
Today I met a friend for lunch, after that I went grocery shopping and then made spaghetti sauce. I've been active for five hours now and I feel much better than when I sit around. (My TKR was Sept. 20.) Today is a beautiful day here and I think that helps lessen discomfort. I feel really great. I'm also the kind of person who needs friendship and having lunch with an old friend and talking so much must increase my endorphins. I was so miserable when I was recuperating. Just didn't get much company or phone calls. Has anyone else found that activity is helpful? Barb
Guest guest
"Has anyone else found that activity is helpful?"Some days it does help me feel better... get the muscles warmed up & then I can move around better. But today, I don't know what happened ... My left hip/leg is really sore/tight. We cut PT short. Last nite I walked for about 5 minutes at the grocery store with a cart and really hurt/stiff today. But last week, I did the same thing and felt great! Go Figure....Jackie No banners. No pop-ups. Guest guest
Hi Susie ... who knows (re the weather vs. pain)? On Thursday my non-surgical leg (to be operated on 1/23) really gave out and was quite painful. I couldn't really stand until this am (after pain meds & herbs). I rested in bed this am with that leg up on pillows, with my surgical leg flat and that seemed to help. PT says I reached the point where the left leg is really holding me back, so it is good surgery is upcoming. It is interesting to feel 'split' ... one side of me feels quite good; the other feels out of place, stiff and swollen, too. Wishing everyone a very Happy New Year's. In my family we have an old custom of yelling out the door ... ringing a bell/noisemakers ... to shake off the 'demons' of the old year. You can be sure I'll be shaking off all this stiffness & pain! Blessings to all....Jackie No banners. No pop-ups. No kidding.Make My Way your home on the Web - http://www.myway.com

Not everyone is the same . I liked that the way you chase the demons away:-) Susie Jackie Olsen <jaolsen@...> wrote: Hi Susie ... who knows (re the weather vs. pain)?
