It's a group called Communicating. I have the book you mentioned and found it maybe minimally helpful. Craig can be very hard to engage. For example, he much prefers his videos and playing on the computer alone to interacting with others. If I try to play a game with him, he tells me " by self. " The Mac book stresses making comments instead of asking questions to get more speech and language from your child. I have tried this with Craig with no luck. Maybe if we'd known about this type of therapy when Craig was much younger it would have helped more. Bev >> Thanks Bev, I did join his list and I am seeing wonderful progress with Seth. I know it all can't be his just changing with age, because it started the same time we started this method. Seth is very hard to engage too, but I think because I can put him in the carseat or stroller and he has no choice to push me away or leave, he is learning to accept me *in his face* so to speak. LOL I too, think it is helpful that Seth is still young and I can physically control him better. Give it another year or two of weight and height, and I don't think I would be able to engage him in anything he didn't want to do! LOL My instincts tell me I'm on the right road, so I will stay on it and see what happens. Bev, wish Seth could tell me * by self* LOL Well, I wish it now, but if or when he gets to that level, I'll change my tune! LOL Gail
Guest guest
Hi Jeanetta, I was in a hurry and forgot to type out the MAC question. Here it is: The MAC cost in a third party contract is: a. Average wholesale price used to determine charges on prescription b. Maximum amount of reimbursement available for medications c. Late penalty charges for claims submitted past a specific date d. Online computer transmission charge for each processed medication I know the MAC is the Maximum Available Cost. It is the max a third party is willing to pay for a prescription. ( is the only one with the word Maximum in it, but I don't like that word " reimbursement " . I don't think it is any of the other ones though. Will you tell me what you think? Thanks so much! Guest guest
Dear , I HAVE to agree with you that the best answer is b. But I too do not agree with the wording of reimbursement. Not sure that I would not write a book with this possible answer. Reimbursement conjurs up the thought of a patient paid for the full amount and some amount is going to be paid back by the insurance company. What I would say is the answer should read the maximum allowable cost that an insurance would pay the pharmacy for a dispensed prescription. The pharmacy paid or it cost the pharmacy $20 but the MAC is only $13 so the pharmacy will get $13 (or be reimbursed $13) but loose $7. By law the pharmacy cannot ask the patient for this money. MAIC while we are at it is the maximum allowable ingredient cost when compounding is done with bulk ingredients. Hope this helps, Jeanetta Mastron From: jennkon86 <jennkon86@...> Subject: MAC Date: Tuesday, June 30, 2009, 12:20 PM Hi Jeanetta, I was in a hurry and forgot to type out the MAC question.
