Guest guest
My name is Lauri. I found this site because I've started studying on my own to hopefully become a CPhT. I must say I really appreciate all I have found here so far. There aren't any schools that offer a program in pharm tech that are near me and affordable. I attended a career orientation last week and talked with a counselor. I explained that I'm interested in pharm tech, but I'm not completely sure I'd be able to handle the stresses that come with the job, and that If I do decide that I want to do this, where do I start. She told me of a pharmacist in the area who is nice that I should go talk to. Also, I work at Wal-Mart, and they have a pharmacy, but they aren't likely to have any openings for me there as a pharmacy stocker or assistant. So maybe I should try volunteering? I only work pt so I do have time. And I realize that pharmacists can be very busy and overworked, so I'm a little hesitant about going into a place I've never been and saying, " Hey, can I talk to the pharmacist? " Any ideas I should keep in mind before going about this? Any advice is appreciated! Thanks, Lauri
