Guest guest Posted May 22, 2005 Report Share Posted May 22, 2005 According to JCAHO standards, add-a vials are not considered compounding, therefore it is ok, by their standards to snap together Add-a-vials outside of the hood. The actual compounding is done on the floor, by the nurses. Thought I would fill ya'll in on this, since I hadn't posted the answer to " why " yet.
