Nice work! Yes these are the steps.

And YES waiting is the name of the game!

Ihave had students wait up to 1 year and during that time they were contacted by

Califorinia SBORx only 2-4 times to ask for additional information or paperwork.

Some had had answered the application questions in such a way that the state

needed to do more background checking or they were investigating the citizenship

or student went by many names etc etc.

I have had only 2 students in 11 years of teaching be denied registration, and

both were based upon background checks.

go to the process:

1.Like me who passed the Nov 06 exam, i received by PTCB certification Dec

18. Even before getting the results, i got me the DOJ Live Scan December 1 and

attached the CA BOP form with the application and PTCB Certificate copy (which i

had to get notarized). Didnt mail it then to avoid the Xmas package/letters

rush.

2. Mailed them all together Dec 28 , registered with return mail receipt. I

anticipated some delay because Jan 1 and 2nd were declared holidays.

3. As of today, Jan 9, I have not received the Return Receipt from the Post

Office. Ergo my application has not EVEN BEEN RECEIVED by Sacramento.

4. I check my bank statements on line for the $50 fee. The check has NOT

CLEARED YET.

We did what we needed to do. The best recourse now is remain patient. In all

my job applications, i mentioned that i have gone through the process of getting

my registration (lets be standard on this and not refer to it as LICENSE). The

interview and exam testing if required can go on but final employment is

contingent upon my securing that elusive " registration " .

There is such thing as bureaucracy. Sad to say but we have to deal with this

all our waking hours. Meantime, it should not derail any steps necessary to meet

any desired objective.

We are " techs " remember. Patience should be our primary virtue.

Hope this personal experience helps.

Sorry, what is BOP? I did everything that Guzman had done.

To

assuage any apprehensions from all who are getting registered with CA

BOP, lets go to the process:
