Guest guest
Dear All, I have NOT been able to use my Adobe PDF reader for over 4 months!!! Some of my REAL Classroom students have been having the same problem. On another related note: I had some Windows XP downloads to update and kept putting them off for about the same length of time. I finally did the updates yesterday. Something about Pack 1 and Pack 2! Then I decided to 'tackle' the Adobe Reader today. I had previously tried to remove the 6.0 and start over with a new upload of Adobe, about Christmastime (before teh windows XP updates). Today I found an Adobe Troubleshoot site that said if you have XP you will need to upgrade Windows with Pack 1 and Pack 2. But recall that I had already done that yesterday, not knowing that it would solve the problem. So I took a chance that downloading the newest version of Adobe 7.0 FULL would 'take', I gave it my best shot! And Lo and Behold the earth moved for me! I am FREE! I can READ the PDF's now! So if you are having the SAME problem with PDF files not being able to be read: upgrade your windows files and then try to open a PdF file. If that does not work, then down load the new version of Adobe. Hope this helps someone out there! Jeanetta Mastron CPhT BSChem Pharm Tech Educator Owner of this site.
