Guest guest
Unfortunately in Florida we are all in a state of limbo as the board has not determined what an approved training program looks like. All we know right now is that they cannot approve college based programs as they would be education and not training and the board does not have the authority to regulate education (semantics again, very frustrating as we were hoping it would mandate college and not every employer to provide their own inhouse basic training). The hospital where I work is demanding that those applying for tech positions have their registration and certification already in hand before applying and then will develop a training program to meet the guidelines as soon as we know what they will be. To be registered, I believe you just need to send $105 to the board and you have until Dec to prove certification and work hours or training. Here is the link to the booklet on reg for techs: http://www.doh.state.fl.us/mqa/pharmacy/ap_phtech.pdf Joy
