Guest guest
Preparing for the PTCB's Pharmacy Technician exam. Already filled the application. As per new application for 2007, number of multiple choice questions will be 100 (it was 140 last year). But no where information is published on how much is the passing score. Does anyone knows about the passing scores for PTCB exam? Thanks in Advance.
Guest guest
The last press release I got regarding this is that the test will still be worth 900 'scaled points'. Passing sis still 650 out of 900 scaled points, which is a 72% scaled points. Scaled points means that each question is given a differenct number of points that it is worth, due to difficulty of material. No one other than PTCB seems to know (never been printed) if more points to harder or easier questions. HOW they will equate the 125 questions to the 100 questions to still equal 900 points I do not know. Of the 140 questions 125 are counted, 15 are trial questions or pilot questions. But the test taker never knew which ones were which. You have the right to challenge a question. They should give you all of that in instructions at the test center on the day that you test. My biggest pet peeve is that these test centers are not open on Saturdays. Hope this helps, Jeanetta Mastron CPhT BS Founder/Owner > > Preparing for the PTCB's Pharmacy Technician exam.
