Guest guest
Hi all, 1. Antegren Antegren has a new working mechanism, it is different from any of the current drugs. It will make it harder for cells of the immune system to cross the blood brain barrier and thus it will reduce inflammation. Its other pro is that it will be administered once a month through an IV, not a daily or weekly injection. A more detailed description is found here: http://www.mult-sclerosis.org/Natalizumab.html/ There is also a testimony of somebody participating in the trial: http://www.mult-sclerosis.org/Deann.html/ 2. MS not an autoimmune disease? My problem is that it is easy to criticize a theory without offering an alternative explanation. MS is a puzzle, and if you find a piece that does not fit but there is 900 that fits in does not mean the picture is wrong. Everyone (I think even the ones with this theory) agrees that the immune system plays a crucial role in MS. I think if MS was not an autoimmune disease (or at least an immune system disease), LDN would not work either. I read a testimony of somebody who tried LDN and was not working for her and later found out she had Lyme disease. I also think that it is also a good thing if somebody criticizes the mainstream theory because it helps to develop it further. M.
