Guest guest
Hi All, It's been a while since I posted because I don't get the digest anymore. My mailbox was way too full and though I have searched the archives I can;t come up with any information on drs. in the Racine, Wi. area who will prescribe LDN. We are moving there in Aug. and I was hoping to find a dr. who will prescribe it and also treat me. I " KNOW " I have seen this drs. list posted many times before. Any suggestions what I should be putting in the search box besides " drs. who will prescribe LDN " ? Also when I moe and get a new e-mail adress do I have to unsubscribe and then subscribe again or is there a way to change the new address? Thanks, Long

Guest guest
Is this stuff worth it? I have secondary progressive and the docs want me to take novantrone (chemo). Guest guest
I have just started taking LDN, so cannot say if it is "worth it." From the reports we have been reading in this group and on other sites, it will be well worth it. The results, though not clinically proven, are far superior than any of the clinically tested CRABS. I have not looked at chemotherapy. Regarding insurance, if your plan is like ours, you are basically on your own if you go to a doc who is "outside the plan." You have to handle the insurance claim yourself. I have sent in my claim, but have not heard from them yet, so can't comment on how easy or hard the process is. And, unless you happen to have HealthNet, my comment probably wouldn't matter anyway. I started with the decision that LDN was the way to go, and if I wind up having to pay for the doctor, so be it. The actual cost of LDN is less than what I have to pay for prescriptions under HealthNet's drug plan, so insurance won't be involved in that. If by "worth it" you mean the frustrations involved in this whole MS thing - accepting the diagnosis, deciding on a treatment that is right for you, convincing your doctors to support your decisions - from my viewpoint getting LDN is worthit. Guest guest
Thanks for this information Johanne, I don't know why I can't find it. My doctor here finally prescribed it after much consideration and waiting on my part but it makes me wonder with drs. being so afraid of beign sued nowadays that they will prescribe a drug over the phone to a stranger. At least there is a dr. in Wi. on the list. I think before I move I will set up a account again so I don;t have to leave altogether. The I have now is only available on the West coast but when I had before I had nothing but trouble with it and could seldom get on. I think I had to change my address 3 times.
