I just want to let everyone know that I just recently graduated from Pharmacy

Tech school and passed my PTCB all at the end of Sept and I have been working

for 3 weeks at Walgreens Central Pharmacy Operation. I am happy to say that I

just got hired (today) as a Compounding Tech at a vet pharmacy here in PHX.

Jobs are out there and you will have to do you work to get your resume even

reviewed but it can be done.  Don't give up hope.  Maybe if you are not getting

the interviews then have your resume reviewed by a 3rd party.  IT doesn't hurt

to have someone look at, maybe there are improvements that can be made.

Best of luck to everyone find a job

Yes Phoenix AZ.  It seems that we have a lot of PMB and Mail Order services in

this area that are always looking for techs.

I am also recently certified (as of the end of July when I passed my PTCB).

I got hired at Express Scripts Inc almost immediately, and started working

in mid August. ESI is a mail order pharmacy and I got hired as a Sr. Data

Entry Technician. The position was advertised as being part-time, but once

we got trained, most of us got the opportunity to go to full time (with

benefits and plenty of OT hours!). So just to let you all know, yes there

are jobs out there. They may not be abundant, but they are available. I will

say that getting registered with the state (Texas) was a prerequisite to

being hired also, so you may want to look into that once you get the

national certification.

Best of luck to those still needing jobs!!

HI Jeanetta. Thanks! Express Scripts is pretty much all over the US. They

have processing centers in St. Louis MO, Tempe AZ, New York (Troy I

believe), Bensalem PA, and Fort Worth, TX. I think I mentioned all of them.

They've been hiring like crazy, so if anyone on the list is in any of those

areas, check them out. :)

Hello,

I have an interview at ScriptguideRx, which is also a PBM.

Could you please describe your job duties? I'm a certified pharmacy technician;

I've worked some inpatient and retail, but not in a PBM.

Thank you for any information,

Ann

Thank you Jeanetta,

It's great that we can watch videos at home and still learn!

I am interviewing for the position tomorrow.

Dear Anne and ALL

I found these sites and videos about PBM tech work at Express Scripts:

Video on Express Scripts Tech Jobs

http://www.esipharmacistcareers.com/dataentryjob.php

http://www.starthomedelivery.com/video/overview/

http://www.express-scripts.com/careers/pharmacist/misc/video.shtml

http://www.express-scripts.com/aboutus/

IF you are studying to become a pharm tech and you do not know what PBM is you

will have a great understanding of it as/after you watch the videos.

In addition to what members post, if you read any PBM account manager, PBM data

input Tech, etc job advertisement, it WILL give you the duties of someone in

this position.

Respectfully,

Jeanetta Mastron
