Dear Krystle (and All),

I share your sentiments. Unfortunately being certified does NOT mean that one

has formal education. However the trend to make all certified may lead to that

end, hopefully. Unfortunately this will be a slow process still. But we are

definitely on the right path.

with PTCB and registered with their state's board of pharmacy. it

looks great on a resume, job application, and you are more likely to

be hired. plus, i believe that all techs should have some formal

training. sure, its expensive, but you are more prepared to enter a

pharmacy and have some idea of what you are doing. besides, the more

training you have, the better off you will be.
